Two new performers will join the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds for the 2023 CenterPoint Energy Dayton Air Show Presented by
Kroger. The Red Bull Air Force and Redline Air Shows will be part of the 49th annual show on July 22 and
23 at the Dayton International Airport.

The Red Bull Air Force is a team of the most accomplished and experienced aerial athletes that specialize in
highly-coordinated aerial jump demonstrations at events across the globe. The team combines more than
10,000 skydives, 6,000 BASE jumps, and performs over 60 demos each year. A team of four skydivers will
perform a demonstration of wingsuit formations and low-altitude stunts with light and smoke effects to thrill
spectators. This will be the first appearance in the Dayton region for the Red Bull skydiving team.
Local pilot Ken Rieder and teammate Adam Baker are the Cincinnati-based Redline Air Shows aerobatic
duo. Rieder flies an RV-8s equipped with 200-hp engines while Baker flies an Extra 330. Rieder was inspired
to pursue aviation at an early age, attending the Dayton Air Show growing up. From jets to helicopters,
“Shakenbake” Baker is an award-winning pilot with a vast competition and freestyle flying history. Baker
teamed up with Rieder following the tragic death of his Redline partner Jon Thocker in 2018.

These renowned performances will join the 2023 headliner, the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, performing
precision maneuvers, flying formations, and solo routines in their F-16 Fighting Falcons. The Thunderbirds are
known as America’s Ambassadors in the Blue thrilling millions of spectators around the world. The premier jet
team was last seen in the Dayton region in 2021.

“It’s great to see such exhilarating, world-renowned acts joining our 2023 lineup,” said Scott Buchanan,
Chairman of the United States Air & Trade Show Board of Trustees, producers of the show. “We’re really
excited to see so many Red Bull performances that’ll thrill our spectators and to welcome back locally-based
Redline Air Shows to the skies that inspired Ken to be an aviator.”
